Timatar Gosht Recipe


Ingredients:

  • 1/2 kg beef
  • 1 big or 2 medium onion (sliced)
  • 250 gms tomatoes
  • 2 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1 tbsp red chilli powder (or to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 8-10 green chillies
  • fresh coriander
  • Method:

    • Put all ingredients in a pot or pressure cooker and add some water that is enough to tender the meat.
    • Cook it until the meat is tender. In pressure cooker beef takes almost 20-25 minutes to get tender, but it may take a little longer, depends on how fresh the meat is.
    • When meat is tender, remove the lid, add green chillies and cook on high flame until oil comes on top.
    • Dish out and sprinkle chopped fresh coriander leaves.
