Sheermal Recipe



Ingredients:

  • 1/2 kg all purpose flour
  • 150 gm powdered and sifted sugar
  • milk (as required to form a soft dough)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 150 ml oil

Method:
  • Knead the dough with flour, sugar, salt and milk.
  • Pour oil over the dough and light rub with your hand.
  • Leave the dough for rest then again rub oil into the dough. 
  • Repeat the procedure 3-4 times, or until the oil is completely absorbed.
  • Now make the dough balls, again let it rest for 10 minutes.
  • Now roll the dough balls, make holes with fork, and cook on pan (tawa).
  • Dip sheermal into water for a second or two.
  • Spread sheermal on a clean tray until water is absorbed.
  • Brush with butter or oil.
  • You can also freeze the prepared sheermal and store for later use.
note: if you want to give it more color then after you cook it on pan you can bake it in oven with top flame on for 5 minutes.
