Ingredients:
- 1/2 kg all purpose flour
- 150 gm powdered and sifted sugar
- milk (as required to form a soft dough)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 150 ml oil
Method:
- Knead the dough with flour, sugar, salt and milk.
- Pour oil over the dough and light rub with your hand.
- Leave the dough for rest then again rub oil into the dough.
- Repeat the procedure 3-4 times, or until the oil is completely absorbed.
- Now make the dough balls, again let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Now roll the dough balls, make holes with fork, and cook on pan (tawa).
- Dip sheermal into water for a second or two.
- Spread sheermal on a clean tray until water is absorbed.
- Brush with butter or oil.
- You can also freeze the prepared sheermal and store for later use.
note: if you want to give it more color then after you cook it on pan you can bake it in oven with top flame on for 5 minutes.
