Potato Cheese Balls

Its is all time favourite recipe of all our family members, relatives and friends. It's easy to make and super good in taste with very few ingredients. The best thing I like about these Potato Cheese Balls is that everyone loves it whether it's a kid or an old age person who prefers less spicy food, or a person like me who can't live without spicy food. Its all three layers have distinctive taste. The upper layer that is so crispy,  the middle layers which melts in your mouth and the inner most layer with shreded and very lightly flavoured chicken. It is the best choice for tea time snacks, or you can serve as a side dish in lunch or dinner, also a best choice for kids lunch box.

Ingredients:
  • Potatoes 1 kg
  • Cheese 1 cup
  • Chicken breast
  • (boiled with salt and garlic, and shredded) 1 cup
  • salt to taste
  • White pepper powder to taste

For Coating:

  • Maida/All purpose flour
  • Eggs 2
  • Salt 1/4 tsp
  • Red chilli powder 2 tsp
  • Breadcrumbs

Method:

  • Mash the potatoes.
  • Add cheese, salt and white pepper and mix well.
  • Take a small amount of potatoes, put some shredded chicken in it and make balls.
  • Beat the eggs with salt and chilli powder.
  • Dip the potato balls in maida, then eggs, then in breadcrumbs.
  • Deep fry on medium high heat till golden brown.
You can also give it some other shape, even you can skip the breadcrumbs.
To make cutlets without breadcrumbs you just have to dip in egg first then coat in flour.
