Fish is a healthy and delicious option to add in your menu specially in winter season. Try to make fish differently every time and include in your diet atleast one to two times a week.
For Marination:
- 1 kg fish
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp turmeric
For Curry:
- Marinated fish
- 1 cup thinly sliced onion
- 1 cup oil (preferably burned mustard oil)
- 1 tbsp ginger paste
- 1 tbsp garlic paste
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp red chilli powder
- 3 tbsp coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp garam masala powder (whole spices powder)
- 1 cup yogurt
- 3 tbsp dried qusoori methi
Directions :
- Marinate fish with all marination ingredients.
- Heat oil in a pot, half fry fish in it and take out.
- Add thinly sliced onion in the same pot and fry until golden.
- Add ginger garlic paste, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder and cook for atleast 15 minutes, adding little bit water whenever needed, cook until it's smell changes.
- Add yogurt and thoroughly washed qusoori methi and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add garam masala powder and fried fish pieces in curry (and almost a glass of water or as much as you need). Slow down the flame and cook until the fish is done and oil comes on top.
