Fish curry

 Fish is a healthy and delicious option to add in your menu specially in winter season. Try to make fish differently every time and include in your diet atleast one to two times a week. 



Ingredients :

For Marination:

  • 1 kg fish
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste 
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder 
  • 1 tsp turmeric 
For Curry:
  • Marinated fish
  • 1 cup thinly sliced onion 
  • 1 cup oil (preferably burned mustard oil) 
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste 
  • Salt to taste 
  • 2 tbsp red chilli powder 
  • 3 tbsp coriander powder 
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric 
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder (whole spices powder) 
  • 1 cup yogurt 
  • 3 tbsp dried qusoori methi
Directions :
  • Marinate fish with all marination ingredients. 
  • Heat oil in a pot, half fry fish in it and take out. 
  • Add thinly sliced onion in the same pot and fry until golden. 
  • Add ginger garlic paste, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder and cook for atleast 15 minutes, adding little bit water whenever needed, cook until it's smell changes. 
  • Add yogurt and thoroughly washed qusoori methi and cook for 5 minutes. 
  • Add garam masala powder and fried fish pieces in curry (and almost a glass of water or as much as you need). Slow down the flame and cook until the fish is done and oil comes on top.
